Green Light Treatment
Green light
- enhances wound healing;
- has anti-inflammatory effects in experimental models .
- may enhance melanin production in fair skinned people, and that this may protect them from the harmful effects of UV light.
Green light can reduce hyperpigmentation due to age spots, chloasma or other discolourations of the skin and for sun-damaged skin. It is often used as an alternative to lightening creams. Green light reduces pigmentation by limiting overproducution of melanin from pigment-prducing cells in the skin; it also helps to reduce the migration of melanin to the surface of the skin. This means that melanin clusters (such as age spots, chloasma) are less likely to occur.
Some research suggests that Green light transmitted into the retina may alleviate migraine pain and pain of fibromyalgia
